GESPEGEWAGI: THE LAST LAND (doc series)
Roles: Editor (9 episodes), Co-Writer
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Canada’s Gaspé Peninsula region in Quebec, this documentary series looks at a Mi’kmaq commercial fishery and its connection to the people, their traditions and their homeland. Throughout the half-hour episodes, we get an inside perspective on how a First Nations commercial fishing industry — one that was born out of conflict and defiance — grew to be a key economic and cultural support for the community, helping to preserve Mi’kmaq language and traditions that were almost lost.
